Bound by a common desire to promote and protect the cultures, traditions, ecosystems and environments around our homes across Asia, each Secret Retreats member has signed a pledge to follow our core principles upon joining our organization. Asia is our home, the communities in each destination are our communities, the local cultures and customs, the cuisines and art forms, the local lifestyles and the surrounding nature, these are all equally important to each and every Secret Retreats member to share with the world and to preserve for future generations to come. Take your holiday or vacation in Asia and enjoy the beauty of our Asian homes and experience the essence of Asia with Secret Retreats, safe in the knowledge that you are supporting sustainable and responsible tourism.

The Secret Retreats Annual Campaign
THE MISOOL FOUNDATION
At Secret Retreats we believe in responsible, sustainable tourism. We encourage and support our hoteliers’ sustainable and responsible tourism actions and focus on one foundation or key action per year in order to raise as much awareness as possible. This year’s foundation partner for our annual campaign is the Misool Foundation who from their home in Raja Ampat, Indonesia have been successfully promoting sustainable tourism and community-based environmental conservation to create an action that we believe will be sustainable, long term and will benefit generations to come. They are doing incredible work but with a marine park of reefs and islands of over 300,000acres to protect, they do need all the help they can get to continue their work.
Every booking made through Secret Retreats’ website or with the Secret Retreats Concierge will directly benefit the foundation with 2USD donated by Secret Retreats for every night booked. Thank-you for your support of this vitally important work and please click here to learn more and to perhaps make your own donation to the Misool Foundation.

GOLDEN BUDDHA RESORT
HOTEL TUGU LOMBOK
Osmose’s goal is to promote harmony between the local communities and the core reserve area, and to facilitate both the conservation of the Tonle Sap environment and the sustainable livelihoods of the floating village communities.
In 2001, Osmose was registered in France as an Association under the law of 1901. As of August 3rd 2007, Osmose is also a registered national NGO in Cambodia. Our team has 18 staff both in Siem Reap and in Prek Toal. Jean-Pierre Martial is the Chairman of the Cambodian NGO board since 2007. Our mission:
- Environmental Education
This program has reached 3000 children in three villages and is now integrated in the Primary Schools. Three teachers in each village provide indoor and outdoor classes and practical guidance, including bird-watching, waste collection and recycling, floating gardens, study of the flooded forest and tree plantations. The objective is to raise the next generation of guardians for the unique and fragile ecosystem that sustains the Tonle Sap Great Lake, while also indirectly extending our knowledge to today’s environmental dependents, the parents of the children. In 2014, we extended the program to Prek Kantiel which is a village inside the Bird Sanctuary.
MISOOL ECO RESORT
