David’s Kitchen: "Perfect dinner in Chiangmai"
The food was amazing! I️ had the duck and it was cooked perfectly. David was so friendly and he even recommended some restaurants to us in Phuket. This is a first class restaurant!
We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our heritage room was tastefully decorated in a tradional style and made good use of the original arched architecture, quite charming. The monogrammed bedlinen and fluffy white towels were beautiful, and not found elsewhere in our four weeks in India. The gardens and pool area were beautifully maintained, and a great place to relax and dine. Service was sometimes slow, but it is good to see that locals are being trained to provide it. The food when it came was excellent. In all, a wonderful place to chill out, and great value.
"Our stay at Neeleshwar was pure pleasure. The bungalow style rooms were wonderfully comfortable with views overlooking the sea - well spaced with lovely verandah and hammock. The service was excellent - the friendly and attentive staff made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfast and dinner by the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea was delicious and the infinity pool and setting invited stunning photographs. Yoga in the morning was an added bonus as was the very experienced tailor who turned around your order in double quick time. The style of the Hermitage is intimate and focuses on excellent service and it is small enough to be able to deliver for each guest. A perfect end to a perfect holiday.Stayed January 2017"
"I had twice before stayed at Maduzi although some years before and found each stay most excellent. This stay, with friends, was also exceptional.Maduzi is located in downtown Bangkok right near the Skyway and a short walk to Centre Point shopping mall; the Paragon complex is but four Skyway stops away.Breakfast is included, and the choices are unique; I cannot understand anyone finding fault with the variety or quality offered, and breakfast was a pleasure.Maduzi is a truly unique (yep, that word can be used again and again), boutique hotel, a retreat in downtown Bangkok in beautiful surroundings and rooms with service that can satisfy almost all. My wife and friends thoroughly enjoyed their stay as I did.Room Tip: Upper floors are probably best because the roar of Bangkok traffic almost defied sound-proofing."
"We were staying (on a Luxury Escapes deal out of Australia) in the Le Meridien Angkor hotel, and found out about Mie Café through Google Maps as being nearby, and followed it up on TripAdvisor.
It's under 10 minutes walk (including dodging the traffic to cross the road), and easy to find. Turn right out of the Le Meridien; second street on the left; not far down; and illuminated sign (see photo). Safe to walk at night.
The food was very good. I've put some photos of the dishes up (tuna tartare, chicken amok, and mince pork), but the best dish was one I didn't photograph! My wife and I agreed the mushroom tartlet she ordered was the pick of the dishes.
The drinks were cheap (something like US$4 cocktails and US$2 beers). I think it was cash only (no credit cards)
Total for 2 starters, 2 mains, three cocktails and 2 beers, plus tip, was under US$50.
So when it came for dinner the next night, we decided to return. We had beef with red ant eggs, the mushroom target (again), a steak with mushroom and green peppercorns and ox tail with expresso.
"Le problème c'est qu'il n'y a aucun reproche à faire.tTout est prévu pour un séjour magique.
De plus Karine est aux petits soins pour accommoder vos moindres désirs.
Les repas sont excellents,le spa aussi.
Félicitations aussi au personnel pour sa gentillesse."
Stayed here as part of a 2 day Mekong cruise with Les Rives - beautiful oasis that I would highly recommend staying a couple of nights at - if you want to get out into the country and away from ho chi min this is your place! We had a massage, drinks and dinner and could not have been happier - staff and owners all extremely friendly and professional - do yourself a favour and go see for yourself, you will not be disappointed
Stumbled across Golden Buddha through a family recommendation and had the most fantastic time. The staff were fabulous, food magnificent and the accommodation was truly unique.highly recommend to anyone who wants to getaway from the world for a bit and fully recharge.
"Well... I could say I hated the place... to keep u all away... so I can keep it all to myself.... I just loved it...So historic, original, wonderful staff, huge rooms all fully restored in modern luxury and the whole place with old/antique furniture... I was in my element... elegant, traditional. Fantastic food, ( the dining room ceiling looks ridiculous) but the rest is just gorgeous... It is the middle of downtown GT (George Town), lots of transport options, and walking to discover the rest of GT is easy...The staff are wonderful... I just loved itI would not take kids there... destroy the atmosphere.... but I am sure kids would be welcome.... if necessaryA very, very special place... If u are into history and love the old... you will, like I love the place... do go....."
