Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Absolutely Outstanding""Seadance is a very special place indeed. As has been said in lots of other reviews - the staff are amazing- so very friendly and helpful. It is very peaceful here, so much so that we didn't venture far from the resort during our 6 day stay, which is unusual for us. The rooms are great and we loved the semi-outdoor nature of the bathrooms which gave it a very special feel. The food in the restaurant is fantastic - yes it is more than you would pay in local restaurants - but it is definitely worth it. We would definitely recommend the Wednesday night buffet - with complimentary drinks beforehand. We also took advantage of the happy hour (5-7pm) most evenings with 2 for 1 cocktails which were great. Thank you Poy, Faith and the rest of the team for ensuring we had the best holiday ever. We will be recommending Seadance to everyone we know. Best regards , Chris and Sue Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
Maison Polanka: "Natural luxury"I recently stayed at Maison Polanka, it was such a welcome change and surprise to what I am used to staying; This Resort really is your home away from home; the staff welcome you like family, the intimacy of this place really has such a warm charm that makes you feel immediately at home; The team headed by General Manager Cathy, were exceptional, they were so attentive, friendly and could do enough to make our stay most memorable; I stayed in the Green room, which had an amazing balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and the perfect retreat to relax, read a book with a gin & Tonic. They made all the arrangements for a private guide to Angkor Wat, where we went for the Sunrise, what a Magical experience, followed by a picnic on the river bank; this truly was one of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had. If you are looking for a relaxing, cosy place to stay I highly recommend Maison Polanka.
Arumdalu: "A Treasure wrapped in natural beauty""My business partner and I were on our third trip to Belitung and wanted to travel down to the south side to experience the Arumdalu resort that we kept hearing about. We were greeted by Hendrik in the morning, their driver, who was prompt and very helpful in getting us down to the resort in just over an hour. My highlights of the trip was experiencing the Beach, Food, and Culture. The beach is expansive, white, and calming. The private cove allows you to truly relax and enjoy the cooler ocean breezes. You don't want to miss climbing the large granite rock on the right side of the beach to experience some great views, snap some selfies, and just be amazed at the beauty. The food was a gastronomical delight. We had the privilege of staying at the resort when the owners were present and Albert took special care in sharing with us the story of how they created each menu item, along with the specially crafted plates that are unique to each main dish. Finally, we enjoyed learning more about the culture...from hearing stories of how Belitong got it's name (Bali yang dipotong), seeing Batik be made, to the diverse flowers, fruits, and vegetables they are growing in the area. The rooms were well constructed and furnished charmingly. The plunge pool was refreshing and make sure you check out their short nature hike through the jungle on their property. The staff were always willing to help, but were never overbearing. We look forward to returning when the cultural village is up and running."
Yandabo Home: "“Wonderful remote place by the river""If you are looking for authentic beauty and an experience of typical country style village life, Yandabo Home is the place to be. Beautiful brand new lodges , with well trained people, especially the 2 lovely ladies from guest relations, who joined us during the visit of the pottery village next door and to Pan Nyo village across the river for a look around this village famous for its buffaloes. This place gave me , together with Hpa An lodge in the south of the country, the best good feeling of Myanmar. No internet , no Tv, waw... Stayed November 2016, traveled as a couple"
Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical""We lived in Nepal for many years and now visit quite regularly. This has and will always been one of our most favourite spots thanks to Marcus and his team as well as it's most lovely location above Pokhara, in the hills with fabulous mountain views and walks. The local staff are a delight and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is informal and comfortable. The rooms(with attached bathrooms) are tastefully but simply/appropriately decorated and with very comfortable beds. The food is now exceptionally good and there is a choice of meals, which are either enjoyed alone or with other guests and friends. Computers and phones are discouraged in the main reception/dining/living areas which is a breath of fresh air! We spent five nights there on this visit(post high altitude trek) and walked every morning with one of the lodge naturalists, whose knowledge , particularly of the birds, butterflies and trees is exceptional. The local villagers are very welcoming. Thank you all! We will be back!"
Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Fantastic"Cozy and historic experience. I can recommend this accommodation to my family and friends with confidence. Penang itself is also cozy and relaxing city. A staff is well trained and kind enough. Especially, atmosphere of night is unique and unforgettable,
Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A visit to paradise""I had another destination in mind for my Easter holidays, but a friend told me I had to go to Nepal, and especially to Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge. Great advice. The lodge is beautiful, in a magnificent location, and very comfortable. Every member of the staff was exceedingly attentive to me as well as to the other guests. Tiger Mountain was the perfect centerpiece of my first visit to Nepal. The staff was ready to make my visit as active as I wanted it to be, with many options for walking and hiking, sightseeing, or simply relaxing at the pool with one of the most fantastic views in the world. The meals were special events in themselves, with a choice of either western or Nepali cuisine. Yes, Tiger Mountain offers a glimpse of paradise. Stayed April 2017, traveled solo"
Sanak Retreat Bali: "Wonderful Sanak Retreat Bali""Hvilket fantastisk og dejligt sted placeret midt blandt lokale rismarker i Bali's højland. Afslappende og super hyggeligt resort. Få gæster, dejlige hyggelige cabins med en helt vidunderlig udsigt til rismarker og bjergene mod vest. Super service og god mad. Havde en dejlig tur med lokal guide til rismarkerne og den lokale landsby. Også skøn og flot tur til vandfaldet. Stedet kan varmt anbefales. "
Tugu Bali: "Relax in a luxurious, romantic setting""We were looking for a more traditional and authentic Balinese experience and Hotel Tugu Bali exceeded our expectations by far. The hotel overlooking Canggu beach is built from temple remains and furnished with the largest collection of Balinese antiques and artworks. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate with large, amazing, comfortable rooms. The food was beautiful at the fine-dining restaurants (this included a Japanese Restaurant, Ji). Each afternoon complimentary 'High-tea' with local and western delicacies was provided which we never missed! The staff were excellent - so friendly, helpful and willing to assist in any way. This was exemplified by the Manager, Jenny Bellora. The close proximity of the surf kept my husband very happy each day and I enjoyed the relaxing time spent by the pool. Canggu itself is a new and developing area in Bali and the hotel was within walking distance to lovely shops, restaurants, boutiques and a local market. Room Tip: Rejang Suite (bedroom and verandah). Each evening from the verandah we enjoyed watching the sunset a..."
Reverie Siam: "Outstanding! Loved everything about it""Amazing service, big and quiet rooms, lots of green, great swimmingpools, beautiful decor, best restaurant in town, great price. This hotel is a hidden gem. They even offer local mobile phones for guests to take when going to town, so they can call the hotel for sending a driver to pick them up. I am 100% happy with this hotel. I highly recommend it."
