"Forget the flashy neon lights and loud music from the many river cruise options available , Supanniga does it in styleLovely atmosphere, fantastic food and great service. My husband and I prebooked this cruise and I'm happy we did as it was great value for money. The views are wonderful and the pace the boat travels at is ideal for photos would highly recommend"
Our stand-alone bungalow was delightful, decorated in local handicrafts. It had its own patio, where afternoon tea was served. Be sure to do the bird watching tour in the local area if you have time. The service and food were impeccable, the staff will treat you like royalty. The views are to die for!
"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise)Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes.
Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made.
Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life.Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend.
And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world!
Room Tip: Room 11, a triple room, at the end of the resort with uninterrupted views. Room 10, double room, abo...

Muang La Lodge: "Total relaxation – piece of heaven in Laos"
"Set by the confluence of two small rivers, the Muang La Lodge is a piece of tranquility set in a picturesque location. Comprising of 10 rooms all in pairs of buildings either along the river or in the lush grounds. The river rooms are certainly worth the little extra cost to secure.
It is a 5 hour drive up from Luang Prabang through some spectacular scenery but the journey is well worth it.
The lodge provides inclusive meals - there is little else in the village near by - but these are excellent. All the staff are local and the chef, who we understand had been there six years, is very talented. There is a five course set menu each evening though they go out of their way to accommodate likes and dislikes ensuring everyone has a wonderful time. The managers whilst we were there were French and on call pretty much 24/7.
The lodge also will organise trips out to visit the hill tribes and also treks through the countryside - both very worth doing.
There is a bridge linking the lodge to an island in the rivers which has on it an infinity edge swimming pool and a viewing platform to watch the sunset.
After dark it can turn cold so fleeces are provided by the lodge and also they will put buckets of hot coals by each dining table - it can get that cold.
Really it would be hard to find anything to be picky about here so do go and have a relaxing time.Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
Villa Song Saigon: "Sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle"
My sister and I ducked over from Singapore for two full days.We were always treated like we were the only ones there. In fact we were the only ones on the motel speedboat on both days in and out of the city at the times we requested to leave and get picked up,maybe busier in the high season. We felt we got to feel the entire vibe of Ho Chi Minh City between the taxi from the airport, the boat into town and nearly two full days just walking(without getting run over) around. The pool is great and the day spa compared to Aud standards was more than affordable .It may not be the cheapest accomodation in town but treat yourself
"We really enjoyed our stay at The Island Lodge. We went in December for our holidays, and our experience was by far the best. We can't say thank you enough for your immaculate service, and very beautiful hotel. The food was delicious, good cuisine with a french touch, mixed with the traditional Vietnamese gastronomy.
We recommend The Island Loge 100%.
You will certainly enjoy your stay there, I know we did!Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"
"Where to start?? I was very happy and fulfilled with my stay at Neeleshwar Hermitage. A 2.5 hour drive from Mangalore airport. They organize pick up for you offering a cold ice towel which is much needed after few hours of flight. Also, there is fresh fruit in the car to help you get through the drive.Staff: The staff is what impressed me the most about Neeleshwar Hermitage. The service staff are insanely courteous and sincerely caring about providing the utmost in hospitality. Chef Anish and Chef Deepak prepare wonderful dishes that are full flavored with local spices bringing the taste of India directly to your senses. The fact that I want to name every single department and staff member who left an impression on me should illustrate how amazing I thought the service at Neeleshwar was.Why I recommend you go:-The place has a weird way of making you forget yourself and focus on everything around you making you wonder all sorts of things.
-It's beautiful. Beach tables where you're eating deliciously seasoned fresh fish listening to the sounds of the Arabian Sea taking small glances up at the sky to view the stars.
-Mediation and yoga are classical bringing you back to a simpler frame of mind. It's like Mr. Anil takes the beauty of the resort and channels it within you.
-Ayurveda aims to balance your mind, body, and soul. They don't only sell it, Neeleshwar Hermitage embodies it. There is direct communication between the restaurant, the spa, the mediation and yoga instructor, and the management of the hotel. This is to ensure that all aspects of you are getting the best for your mind, body, and soul. This communication made you feel that the whole place had your best interests at heart.
-Ranipuram Trek. Went to the highest point 1050m above sea level and it was stunning. A moderately difficult climb but well worth it. Not for the lazy.
-Some of the freshest fruit you'll ever have. I drank a fresh glass of orange juice and couldn't believe how sweet it was.
-They literally climb the trees to get you coconut water. Can't get better or fresher than that !!
-STAFF once again was amazing!Overall, the place is great. It all depends though on what you're looking for. There are things to do but ultimately it's just a place to getaway from the world and focus on yourself. And they do everything they can so you don't have to worry about anything but you."
Unique lodging experience in the middle of paddy field. We stayed in a safari tent, reminded us of our high school days camping less the hardships. The interior was very elegantly decorated, thermal comfort was good. Hospitality was excellence but we had enough privacy. Highly recommended to those who look for temporary escape from hectic lifestyle.
it was a really good night out, the food was fantastic and really worth to have this kind of flavour experience
Perfect place to stay for a few nights, very central to the downtown heritage streets and close to the beach front as well. Service is very attentive and the rooms have all the comfort you need on top of the stylish ambiance and grandeur of a historical mansion.
