"My mum and I stayed here in the luxury tent and it was fantastic. I poked my nose in the more Safari style tent and it was too basic for me but other people seemed to enjoy the adventure. The luxury lodge was air conditioned, spacious, comfortable, ensuite, hot water etc... the lounge for pre and post dinner drinks was welcoming and friendly, the food was AMAZING and the chef will do a cooking demo if you ask. We saw six leopards over four drives, just delighted. We used the back gate of block one and also block five. Such a pleasant experience, not crowded and very successful. When we checked out they asked for feedback, I said a pool would be good - half joking! It's coming! But it's fantastic without anyway. Go go go! Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"
This is a wonderful resort set in the middle of a coffee plantation. A cool respite from the heat of Yogyakarta, the service in this resort is first rate, from the front desk to the restaurant etc. My wife indicated that the massage she received in the spa was one of the best she has ever had. The breakfasts were fabulous, the views awe-inspiring, and the arrange tour to the Borobudur temple was excellent. My only negative is that the fitness equipment was really second rate and not operational when I was there. But everything else was great!
From the moment we were met at the airport to our departure all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Add into the equation a beautiful beach, amazing building and fantastic accommodation and you can see how this becomes a really memorable location for resting and relaxing. Plenty of tasty choices for meals whether you are eating in the main restaurant, on the beach, in the magnificent "wedding hall" or, as we did one evening, just the two of us up above the Hindu temple. Two large swimming pools, 1km of beach so opportunities for swimming and scuba diving. Our room has a plunge pool which was great for refreshing us. The outside bath was fun just sitting beneath the stars. We must go back.
"Magical stay at 4Rivers floating lodge at Tatai river. The eco resort is beautiful and lovely settings. The private tends are well appointed, with air conditioning and toilet. Although, during the night the electricity went down a couple times. Take the waterfall tour with picnic and go and enjoy a pure natural environment.
The resort is located in the middle of a private natural reserve , 6h from Phnom Penh and 5h to sihanoukvillle. The place is truly magical and if you want a real peaceful experience to relax from daily stress, this is the place to go.
Restaurant menu limited but very good. The wifi exists but it's limited. There's also DVD and books available to guests.
You could swim and jump from your tend directly to the river. Water is mixed (fresh and salt) and it's secure (no crocs) although it's impressive to swim without seeing the bottom.
There's only 6 tends on each side, with magnificent jungle view which gives you a sense of peace and tranquility.
Our 2 days stay was memorable and magical. We are a family with teens and they loved this resort. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"
I'm telling you what I told my wife when we were there - "this meal is the best meal I've ever had". Also, the price is very reasonable relative to the quality of the food and cocktails. Definitely a great choice for a classy (relative for Siem reap) dinner!
Rachamankha: "Beautiful place to stay"
"On arrival to the Rachamankha it was hard to deny the breath taking architecture and clean calm appearance of the place. After staying at a friendly, family run guest house in Bangkok I did find this hotel to be a little bit sterile and cold at first. However, over the 4 days that I spent here I really warmed to the place. The location way great, being very central to the old town. Breakfast was excellent, with a really good range. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good, especially the pool. The room was also spacious and beautiful. A faultless stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"
"We stayed here after a grueling six day trek, and what a welcome reward it was! From the moment we disembarked from our jeep, up the steep driveway to the property, our entire group was awed. Literally perched on a mountain top, you have sweeping views from both sides of the mountain. The villas scattered around the property work to maintain privacy, while the beautiful common area has little nooks for privacy, or you can choose to sit on the beautiful verandah, to take in the views, have a drink and rest. The dinner, meanwhile, was delicious, with the tables elegantly set in a non-pretentious way. The villa was beautifully decorated, and again, after our hard work and life in a tent on the trek, the luxurious bed and bathroom was so welcomed! It is truly a retreat - either from the demands that wonderful Nepal asks of you as her traveler, or from the demands that your daily life asks of you. I will certainly return - and might just take in one day in Kathmandu, then come directly back to Tiger Mountain Lodge for three days of beautiful relaxation and rejuvenation."
Tugu Bali: "One of a kind hotel with exceptional service in a great location"
The beauty of this hotel is second to none in all of Bali. The owner of the hotel is the largest art collector in all of Indonesia and the hotel is literally a museum of his prized collections. You will not find a more authentic Balinese experience. There is an old temple that was reconstructed into a restaurant. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere is serene and peaceful. Our room was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in and included our own private pool and a bathroom with a koi pond. The staff is exceptional and in typical Bali form they all knew our names, made us feel special, and treated us like we were family. I would recommend this hotel to anyone from honeymooners to experienced travelers to backpackers. We couldnt say enough good things about our time at TUGU and will absolutely be back to visit again. Maybe next time to one of their other 3 hotels which I hear are just as nice.
"The food was fantastic. My sister who's lived here for over 20 years couldn't agree more with the authenticity of the food and ingredients, some even pleasantly surprised us. The service is maybe a lack of English. But they are trying very hard. Much appreciated. I'd recommend The trio appetizers - Yum Mieng Yong, Ma hor, Khaotang Namprik Kakmoo, -
Yum Crispy Leaf Fish, and Hor Mok Crab Meat. "
"A really place, quite ans sophisticated in a very quite area, next to Battambang,
Beautiful décoration in traditional khmer houses. The atmosphère in the evening with the small lac illuminated is Wonderfull. Also we loved the restaurant : very good and cheap. It is better to stay there than to go to Battambang. Can be good for a long stay to enjoy the area."
