If you want a truly unique and delicious dinner in Siem Reap, you must definitely go for dinner at Mie Café. I am a New Yorker who has travelled and eaten around the world, so I am not so easily impressed. But, Mie Café really knocked me over. The food is prepared creatively, presented beautifully, and features combinations you would never imagine. The food is “fusion” of a kind, but “fusion” is not really accurate enough to describe it. To give you some idea, this is the dinner my wife (Thai) and I had: frogs legs, crab soup, scallops, krill ravioli, unique non-alcoholic drinks, and a frozen lime cake for dessert. The portions are big enough so that we actually took home about a third of the food. However, to see how creatively these dishes are imagined, look at the descriptions of the food on the menu on their website. The atmosphere is charming, casual, and comfortable. And, the total for dinner was $39.50.
