Chinese House is among Phnom Penh’s most unique European-Asian restaurants, cocktail bars and event spaces. Set amongst the last remaining authentic Chinese houses along the Sisowath Quay, facing the Tonle Sap River, Chinese House is considered to be one of the capital’s most beautiful remaining buildings.
Built around 1905 by wealthy Hokkein trader the structure incorporates a French-like facade and tiling with elegant Chinese pillars and roofing.
The restaurant features a cocktail lounge, an outdoor terrace and a dining area that elegantly couples ingredients from the East and techniques from the West, creating a contemporary Pan-Asian Pacific cuisine with an enticing array of cocktails and wines to choose from.
Chinese House is a place where past meets present, where romanticism meets a contemporary approach to art and music; and the East meets the West giving it a unique elegance, taste and charm.
