Work in conjunction with the Owners and Hotel Manager to create, execute and sustain media and consumer relations initiatives to maintain Cheong Fatt Tze – The Blue Mansion’s profile as the place to stay and dine at while in Penang.

Candidate should be willing to work as a team, managing public relations and events plus proactively reading sales data and conducting market research to apply creative, effective communications and marketing initiatives.


  • Serve as first point of contact for Media at Cheong Fatt Tze – The Blue Mansion
  • Compile, produce and maintain hotel collateral including marketing brochures, sales kits, menus and other promotional material
  • Writing and preparing content for distribution ie Press Releases and Descriptors
  • Manage social media content and strategy
  • Build and manage Media & Customer Relationships through various platforms such as email, meetings, media FAMs, events
  • Media Trip Coordination & Hosting
  • Photography & Shoot Planning & Management
  • Event Planning & Management
  • Strategise and initiate annual Marketing & Public Relations Calendar
  • Analyse Sales data and report efficacy of Marketing and Public Relations activities
  • Ensure brand alignment, consistency and representation in accordance to Cheong Fatt Tze – The Blue Mansion
  • Crisis Communications - Be alert to possible crises relating to the hotel and escalate in a timely manner to relevant persons
