Bold flavours, bright colours, big plates. Ross Magnaye, head chef of Melbourne\u2019s Rice Paper Scissors, brings to the table family-style sharing platters, in collaboration with the enigmatic head chef of Dewakan, Darren Teoh, this September.<\/p>\n

Across three exciting nights of culinary prowess, chefs Ross Magnaye (Australia) and Darren Teoh (Malaysia) will join forces in KL to bring diners a one-off pop up experience not to be missed.
\nBringing together the use of great locally-sourced produce to make inspiring family-style food, made for sharing, the two imaginative chefs will create an Asian-influenced menu that allows guests the joy of dining in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n

\"dewakan-darren-teoh\"<\/p>\n

Chef Ross grew up in his grandmother\u2019s kitchen in the Philippines before his family moved to Australia. Now, as head chef of Melbourne\u2019s popular Rice Paper Sister, he has refined his cooking style, producing simple South East Asian food that\u2019s big on flavour, heavily influenced by his Filipino background. The long lunch and dinner queues are testament to his success. Ross has also headlined at several pop-up events in Bali, Sydney, Thailand and the Philippines, as part of his mission to share the unique flavours of Filipino food with the world.
\nRoss joins host chef Darren Teoh at Dewakan, September 14-16.
\nDewakan combines and connects indigenous ingredients and produce from nearby farms and jungles, Malaysian mountains and seas, creating a menu of modern Malaysian cuisine, full of twists and technical flourishes.<\/p>\n
