India re-opened for quarantine free travel for international travellers on November 15th, 2021. The list of countries from which travellers are allowed quarantine-free entry to India is subject to change – the latest list can be viewed on the Air Suvida portal (www.newdelhiairport.in). All travellers must apply for a tourist visa which can be completed online and then complete a declaration and submit a negative Covid-19 PCR test result on the online Air Suvidha portal within 72hours of your time of arrival in India.
Thermal screening will be carried out on all arrivals and anyone showing symptoms will be taken to a medical facility. Approved quarantine free travellers will be required to download and install the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices and self-monitor their health for 14 days post arrival through the app. Children under 5 years of age are exempted from covid testing. To qualify for quarantine free travel you must be fully vaccinated which means you completed your vaccination 15days or longer prior to your planned departure to India and travelling from an approved country of origin. Travelers coming from or transiting through locations listed as “Countries At-Risk” and which do not have a vaccination agreement with India will have to either self-monitor for 14 days post arrival (if fully vaccinated) or submit to a post-arrival COVID-19 test and home quarantine for seven (7) days (if partially or not vaccinated). Travelers should confirm the status of the country they are traveling from, or will be transiting through, on the list of countries as posted on the Air Suvida portal prior to making their travel arrangements to India. Interstate travel within India may be subject to additional restrictions.
