Hotel Description

Located within an upscale neighbourhood of Kuala Lumpur and discreet from street view, Villa Samadhi is a large residence rather than a boutique hotel, designed to evoke your own private villa in the city. Its modern-Asian design and ambiance makes it a unique boutique residence both for holiday getaways or for business trips. Each of the 21 spacious rooms is different. Some have direct access to the pool lagoon, some have balconies chill out while others are equipped with a kitchen. 5 to 10-minute drive only from the city centre, like KLCC and Bukit Bintang.

Your Host & The Team

Federico Asaro“Villa Samadhi, set within a quiet residential area minutes from the city, is a 21-room villa-style residence of nature-inspired contemporary Asian design. My fascination with Asian culture is evident throughout the property with the use of antiques, furnishings and raw, local materials. With materials like timber, polished concrete and bamboo, the interior is a collage of natural elements with strong tones of earth and charcoal adding to the perfect balance of warmth of a home and comforts of a retreat, further enhancing Villa Samadhi’s ‘Rustic-Luxe’ experience.”

Federico Asaro

Situated on the fringe of Malaysia’s capital, in a quiet neighbourhood amidst Kuala Lumpur’s embassies, Villa Samadhi softly opens her doors. Tucked away behind bamboo trees and mature foliage, a large stone Buddha welcomes all who enter this tranquil hidden gem. The gardens and ambiance instantly recall my hosts other locale on Tioman Island, Japamala. Almost brushing up against the main two storey building, a large lagoon fills up a majority of the rear garden. The sounds of trickling water are a delight.

We Care

This resort is actively involved keeping their carbon footprint as low as possible. Their goal has been to build the resort around nature in order to prevent the plants, animals and land from being disturbed. Great care has been taken to minimise the environmental impact, avoiding the moving of rocks and cutting of trees. Due to their passion and commitment to respect and preserve the inherent beauty of their environment, no two villas are the same, each reflecting the unique spirit and character of the land and place.

Villa Samadhi’s environmentally friendly design uses natural elements including bamboo, dried grass and salvaged timber to form the ultimate ‘rustic-luxe’ retreat. The owners are also actively involved in using plant based detergents, recycling whenever possible and donating to wildlife protection causes.

Welcome to Kuala Lumpur

Founded in 1857 as a tin-mining town, and affectionately known as KL, an uncanny mix of eccentric delights awaits in this animated, modern metropolis. Kuala’s Lumpur’s towering skyscrapers are fused with old British colonial buildings and Moorish architecture. Streets are dotted with pulsing markets, lively night scenes, and luxury boutiques. Discover Kuala Lumpur’s captivating sites, smells and sounds in the Golden Triangle, Merdeka Square, China Town and Little India.

In addition to its diverse architecture, KL is a cultural melting pot—home to Chinese, Malays, South Indians, East Malaysian ethnic groups, Sikhs and expat communities who live in harmony—sharing and influencing each other with their languages, customs, festivals, art and fashion. Just like its people, KL’s varied cuisine is a feast for the senses—aromas, ingredients and tastes are a gastronomic voyage in itself.
